What a week it’s been at Inclusion Quality Mark. In the last few days we’ve recognised the achievements of a number of schools in the IQM family.
Here’s a quick snapshot of some of the schools we said congratulations to.
We think one of the P5 pupils at Henry Green Primary described their school perfectly as a great place to learn when they said, “I love my school. I enjoy my rights. Teachers care about us like our parents do.”
The Dagenham school received the Inclusive School Award with Centre of Excellence status.
Leading the way
Leading the way in Oxford this week was the John Henry Newman Academy which secured IQM’s coveted Flagship status. The Academy’s motto is ‘let your light shine,’ and there is no doubt that all on-site are encouraged to do this, be they adults or children.
Receiving the Inclusive School Award was Hollydale Primary in Nunhead. We love that Hollydale tries to nurture a love of reading in all its pupils, and we’re delighted they are in the IQM family.
Securing Centre of Excellence status for the second time is St Anne’s Catholic Primary School in Vauxhall. The school makes a real effort to make every day a welcoming and inclusive experience for pupils, and that’s what IQM is all about.
A calm and welcoming atmosphere greets everyone as they enter Riverbank Academy in Coventry. It’s no wonder then that this friendly school secured IQM’s Inclusive School Award for the second time.
Support
Platanos College in Lambeth prides itself on being a school where supporting each other and building strong relationships is a priority. It was a pleasure to give an Inclusive School Award with Flagship status to this school which places so much emphasis on staff and student well-being.
Park End Primary tries to foster a love of lifelong learning – from Acorns to Oaks – and in doing so creates confident pupils who can think for themselves. Just one of the reasons why the Middlesbrough school secured the Inclusive School Award with Flagship status.
