Is your school the best of the best when it comes to your inclusive practice? Do you excel at creating a welcoming school where diversity is cherished and celebrated? Are you willing to work with other schools to spread the powerful message of inclusion across the UK? If the answer to all these questions is yes, then we want to hear from you!

National Inclusion Champions
IQM is thrilled to announce that we will be welcoming another cohort of National Inclusion Champions for the 2025/26 academic year. In the 2023/24 academic year, 8 schools were awarded National Inclusion Champion status, and in July of last academic year, another 9 schools joined this fantastic group of pioneering schools. It’s an incredibly exciting opportunity to recognise schools which have the capacity to inspire and support other schools at a local, regional and national level.
How to Get Involved
The National Inclusion Champions is open to all our Flagship schools (or those to have Flagship School status recommended by the end of the summer term 2024), as well as any Centre of Excellence school that has completed Year 3 and above.
Applications are now open and will close on Tuesday 3rd June at 12pm. Each school will be invited to complete a short form and upload a video showing why you should be an IQM National Inclusion Champion.
The applications will then be reviewed and shortlisted by the IQM team, this will take place in June 2025.
The IQM National Inclusion Champions will be announced before the end of the summer term. The status will be held by the successful schools from 1st September 2025 until 31st August 2026.
What IQM Asks from the School
The schools chosen to be IQM National Inclusion Champions must be prepared to support the development of inclusion nationally.
They should show a willingness to present/speak to audiences at any regional or national conferences to share best practice (caveat – number of days to be mutually agreed).
Finally, our National Inclusion Champions should be open to inviting interested colleagues into their school.
What IQM will give the National Inclusion Champion Schools
As well as holding the prestigious title of IQM National Inclusion Champion each of the chosen schools will be entitled to use the IQM Inclusion Champion logo on their website and branding.
They will receive a specially commissioned IQM National Inclusion Champion flag to fly with pride outside their school.
Each school will also be widely promoted by IQM across its website and social media platforms. This may include the school featuring as a case study in a promotional video for use by IQM.
The National Inclusion Champions will also receive free tickets to IQM events for the 12 months that they hold the award.
