Workshop Outline

Reinventing Reading: KS3 and Beyond is a whistle-stop tour of Lord Derby Academy’s journey in implementing a reading culture across the school. The strategies the school has implemented include staff training, curriculum development and an overhaul of screening, diagnosis and the implementation of a targeted, tiered intervention programme which is suitable for secondary school readers.
• This workshop is suitable for secondary colleagues seeking to identify or develop their reading offer at KS3 and beyond.
