Workshop Outline

The focus of this workshop is universal teaching and learning approaches to support neurodivergent pupils in the classroom, particularly those with Autism and/or ADHD. The strategies South Green Junior School has implemented include staff training, changes to the school environment, changes to teaching approaches, interventions, peer and self-support strategies and support and strategies that parents can use at home.
For delegates to take away – Vicki and Liz will share their teaching and learning toolkit of strategies to support neurodivergent learners in the classroom.
• This workshop is suitable for primary colleagues, particularly those working in KS2.
Presenter’s School
An IQM Flagship school, South Green Junior School is a mainstream, 2 form-entry junior school, with 240 pupils on roll. 25% of pupils have identified SEND and 8% of pupils have an EHCP. The school has a high and growing number of pupils who have been diagnosed with Autism and/or ADHD. 22% of pupils are in receipt of Pupil Premium top up funding and 88% of pupils are White British.
