Today we are delighted to welcome 15 new Assessors to the Inclusion Quality Mark team. Following a period of intensive training Alison Williams, Clare Freeman, Craig Vickers, Craig Wright, Debbie Shirley, Fiona Durnian, Heather Whitfield, Jo Dormer, John Paul McInerney, Julie Lynch, Nicole Godetz, Sally Hamson, Sharon Roberts, Siona Robson and Zoe Huggett have all been appointed as IQM Assessors.
Recruited from senior positions in schools/academies and local authorities the 15 individuals bring a wealth of experience to the role, this has been further honed during their IQM training.
The latest batch of Assessors were able to get acquainted at their bespoke training day hosted by IQM in Birmingham this week. Here they were introduced to what it means to be an Inclusive school and how Assessors must look for evidence of this Inclusion throughout the school community. They were also trained in how the evidence gathered during Assessment Day should then be presented for final adjudication by IQM.
Welcoming the new recruits Joe McCann, IQM’s Managing Director explained, “We are delighted to have each of these highly experienced educators joining our team. Schools must reach a very high standard before they achieve any of our Awards, and in turn we need our Assessors to meet the same demanding standards. Having worked with each of the new Assessors during their training I know they will not fail to deliver for IQM. I look forward to working with them in the future and I’m excited to see them helping schools achieve exceptional levels of Inclusion across the board.”
