Broadway Academy has been recognised as one of only eight schools in the country to achieve Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) National Inclusion Champion status, in recognition of its exceptional commitment to inclusion, equality, and opportunity for all.

Everyone is welcomed

At Broadway Academy, inclusion means actively ensuring that everyone is welcomed, valued, and able to contribute fully. The school is dedicated to improving the life chances of all students, with a particular focus on supporting boys through belonging, empowerment, and faith.

The award celebrates Broadway’s innovative project designed around five key strands:

1. Using their Island Pool and Esperance Farm sites in Worcester to promote outdoor learning and wellbeing.
2. Improving literacy across all ability levels.
3. Raising boys’ attainment through targeted teaching and engagement.
4. Providing mentoring and strong male role models.
5. Expanding careers education and future pathways support.

Initiatives guided by research

These initiatives, guided by the latest research into the needs of its pupils, aim to strengthen the connection between boys and the social and educational systems in which they learn.

Broadway Academy’s achievement marks a significant step in its mission to build a truly inclusive, safe, and empowering learning community for all.
