At Babington Academy, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. Serving a community where 48% of students are Pupil Premium and 63% fall within the lowest decile for deprivation, we respond to complex challenges with innovation, compassion and ambition.

Committed to breaking down barriers

Inclusion drives our whole-school culture. By nurturing the values of respect, ambition and resilience and responding creatively to needs, we empower our young people to succeed in every aspect of their lives. We are committed to breaking down barriers and creating an inclusive learning environment where every learner belongs, regardless of their background or challenges.

Every student is supported through a developmentally attuned, inclusive environment and a personalised ‘Flex’ curriculum that promotes academic progress and communication skills.

We are proud of our Designated Specialist Provision for SLCN, which has expanded to 30 places and thrilled to be recognised as a ‘Communication Friendly Setting’.

We deliver more than 50 targeted interventions and collaborate with a range of external partners including, NHS, the Police, social care, local businesses and outside agencies.
