Congratulations to St Luke’s on retaining its Flagship Status. This recognition reflects the dedication and commitment of the whole school community in living out its values and ensuring every pupil can flourish. The continued impact of its inclusive, faith-led approach is clear, and the school should be proud of all it has achieved.

Achieve, Believe, Care

The school leader’s commitment to creating an inclusive, nurturing, and faith-led community has delivered outstanding results this year. By keeping their core values of Achieve, Believe and Care at the forefront, they have successfully transformed their aspirations into success for pupils. The focus on early identification and targeted interventions has been highly effective. Through a combination of HLTA led sessions and multi-agency collaboration, pupils with diverse have shown measurable academic success and have grown in confidence. The principles of Faith, Excellence and Resilience are now deeply embedded in the school’s DNA. All pupils, regardless of their starting points, are given the tools to achieve at St Luke’s.

This proactive approach to inclusion has resonated far beyond the classroom. All staff have fostered significantly stronger parental links. It was great to be able to see the significant progress made and the tangible, positive impact these initiatives have had on the school community.

Faith at the Heart

The outdoor environment has been expertly developed and is frequently used by pupils as a calm space where they can connect with God. There are a number of areas around the school now where pupils can pause for reflection. Faith remains the cornerstone of the school’s ethos and prayer is central to daily life, helping pupils refocus on the school’s values and guiding all social interactions. The Wellbeing group recently highlighted the success of Wellbeing Week, demonstrating how faith is lived within the school.

Partners in Success

Parental engagement has flourished, evidenced by the high success of the Mother’s Day event and the Stay and Play sessions. These initiatives have helped to foster a deep relationship of trust between families and the school. Leaders operate an open door policy with the aim to resolve any issues/answer any queries in the same day as they have been raised. For leaders, communication remains a priority, with parents receiving daily updates via an app. The app is popular with families and gives them real-time updates.

Purposeful Play

The Play on Purpose projects has smoothly followed on from last year’s Flagship project. St Luke’s internal data had highlighted that a significant proportion of behavioural incidents were occurring during or immediately following unstructured playtimes. In response, leaders developed ‘Play on Purpose’ which is a research informed playtime model rooted in St Luke’s core Christian values of Respect, Excellence, Kindness and Confidence.
