IQM National Inclusion Conference is back!

September 13, 2024

For 20 years, IQM has been putting educational inclusion to the forefront. Through our work with fantastic schools around the world, we have been highlighting and promoting the inclusive practices of educational champions everywhere. After a resounding success last year, we are thrilled to invite you to our second IQM National Inclusion Conference in The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on Monday 7th October.

Our aim is to bring teachers and support staff together, united by a commitment to inclusion. We hope that this conference will act as a platform for you to discuss and exchange ideas and practices that you have been using to make your school more inclusive. We know that through widening conversations and bringing together inspiring educators from all walks of life, we can pick up tips and ideas that will help to further our shared vision of an inclusive future for all. So, make sure to get your ticket early and join in what will undoubtedly be an amazing day of ideas!

This year, we will be hosting our conference in The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on 7th October. The Eastside Rooms’ central location allows the conference to be easily accessed through many modes of transport, from car and bus to plane and train. There is plenty in store at our full-day event, including a hot buffet lunch along with tea/coffee, snacks and pastries served throughout the day.

The day will begin with a series of Golden Nuggets made up of 5-minute presentations from IQM Centres of Excellence and Flagship schools. These colleagues are some of the best in the business when it comes to putting inclusion at the centre of their schools, so don’t miss this opportunity to gain some amazing insights into their practices.

Delegates will have the opportunity to attend 13 school-led workshops. Each of the sessions will last 40 minutes in a breakout room in the venue. With such a wide variety of topics being discussed, make sure to choose your workshops wisely! Use the opportunity to discuss the topics that you are passionate about on your inclusion journey. Or maybe try something new – the day is what you make of it! There will be an opportunity to ask questions, so make sure to use it!

Conferences give educators the unique opportunity to meet other people who are just as passionate about inclusion as they are. Some of the best conference experiences can come from who you meet on the day. We offer the same advice that you may offer your pupils – don’t be shy! Use this opportunity to talk to others and by the end of the day, you will be ready to put new inspirational ideas into practice!

Don’t miss this opportunity to boost your enthusiasm and share your ideas, in what is bound to be an unforgettable day. Book your ticket now to avoid disappointment!
