IQM Assessors are experienced education professionals who carry out in-depth evaluations of schools on behalf of IQM, assessing how well they embed inclusion into every aspect of school life against our nationally recognised Evaluative Framework.
Each assessor is highly trained and brings a wealth of expertise in education, inclusion, and school improvement to the role. They visit schools, review evidence, meet with staff and pupils, and provide detailed feedback on strengths and areas for further development.
Their work is crucial to ensuring the integrity, credibility, and impact of IQM’s awards, helping schools to celebrate what they do well and plan their next steps on their inclusion journey. IQM Assessors don’t just verify standards; they contribute to raising them, using their insight to guide schools in developing sustainable, inclusive practices that truly transform learning environments.
Many IQM Assessors undertake this role alongside their teaching or leadership positions, while others take it on after retiring from education, keen to share their expertise and recognise outstanding practice.
IQM runs assessor training days throughout the year, and we usually advertise via our social media when we are seeking to expand our team. The role is freelance, and there is a cost associated with joining the training programme.
If you’re passionate about inclusion and would like to learn more about payment details and entry criteria, contact our team today to discuss becoming part of IQM’s assessor network.
