Congratulations to everyone at Oxford Grove Primary School as they retain their Flagship School Status for yet another year. This achievement is a testament to the dedication, vision and hard work of leaders, staff, pupils, governors and the wider school community.
Celebrating Progress
It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to return to Oxford Grove Primary School to conduct their Flagship review. The Assessor enjoyed seeing how their last project has progressed. It was interesting and exciting to hear about the new project and how these builds on the work achieved so far.
Creative Excellence
The Assessor was very impressed by the outstanding displays and artwork, which included an array of 3D sculptures created by the pupils. A company called ‘Willow Sculpture’ spent time in school working with pupils to create the lovely eye-catching and impressive displays.
Enriched Learning
The school provides a bespoke curriculum, which is carefully managed by subject leaders. This is supported by ‘Wow’ activities. All of the pupils have their own ‘Wow’ books where they can record these activities as they move through the school. The books are given to the pupils when they leave as a record of the work that they have done together with their records of achievement folders. In addition to the curriculum in school, the pupils are provided with regular enrichment opportunities through a breakfast club, which is funded by the school. The pupils can access a large number of after school clubs provided by both outside agencies and staff including varied activities such as fencing and Zumba. In addition to this, they are taken on regular educational visits fully funded by the school.
Future Ready
The support on offer to parents and pupils through the new workshops will be invaluable to the pupils as they move through their primary school and on to secondary school. It will ensure that they are fully informed with the knowledge they need to stay safe online and will understand how AI technology can support them with their learning.
