Michelle Haywood

Over her career, Michelle has held a range of varying posts across the Education Sector, with a strong School Improvement focus around SEND and Inclusion, having held senior SEND and Inclusion positions, within schools, specialist resource bases and advisory positions within an LA, a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) of 12 schools and several universities.
Michelle has also held wider roles which have enabled her to work with Early Career Teachers, held a post as a Deputy Head, and senior leadership post in a secondary school during the pandemic. Michelle has contributed to system leadership through Local Authority and commissioned work streams, including working with other School Improvement teams to coordinate and monitor provision for SEND across a local authority within Statutory SEND guidelines.
Michelle currently runs her own educational consultancy service, with projects ranging from a long term Inclusion consultancy project with a Birmingham secondary School, delivery of an inclusivity module of an online IPGCE programme online for a University and assesses National SENCO Award (NASENDCO) projects for a national provider.
