Vicky Cooper

Vicky Cooper’s current role is as an experienced SENDCo and teacher across two nursery schools from a Federation in the city of Sunderland. She believes the child should be at the centre of education and the forefront of all decisions made within a school.
Vicky has a particular passion for achieving excellence for those children with identified Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. She works in various roles to support colleagues, both within her own school, across the city and within Sunderland University. This has allowed Vicky to support others in developing their own knowledge, pedagogy and inclusive practice.
Vicky recently led her Federation in achieving Gold Accreditation for work with children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, to attain Inclusion Quality Mark’s Centre of Excellence status, as well as the National SEND inclusion award for Inclusion in the Early Years.
