Siona Robson
IQM Assessor
After 34 years, 26 in Senior Management, Siona chose to leave Headship in August 22. She has been Principal of two secondary schools, in Warwickshire and most recently leading a large Northampton town secondary school. Under her leadership both schools secured ‘Good ‘Ofsted rating and standards improved significantly across a number of key areas.
Inclusion and Safeguarding were identified as a strength by Ofsted, September 21. ‘ The school serves a diverse community. It is a welcoming and inclusive school. Effective support is provided for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities and pupils for whom English is an additional language. Leaders are determined to help pupils achieve their best.’ ’Leaders have established a collaborative and inclusive culture. Leaders have high expectations of staff’. Siona is determined and passionate about improving standards in schools, driven by a strong moral purpose to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed.
In July 22 the school was awarded IQM’s Centre of Excellence Status. Its report stated ‘The Head drives inclusion. She leads in every aspect; her passion is infectious and filters down through the whole team and up to the Academy Council and Academy Improvement Board.’
Siona is now pursuing a consultancy role working with school leaders in quality assurance, improvement planning and inclusive practice. She has a facilitative, inclusive and collaborative approach ensuring actions are informed by evidence and stakeholder voice to secure rapid and sustainable school improvement and secure the very best provision for all students.
She is delighted to be an IQM Assessor, working with schools to secure inclusive environments which promote access and diversity and raises the achievement for all.
