Rowena Banks
IQM Assessor
Rowena Banks is the Deputy Headteacher at a three form entry school in Kent. She is the Lead on Inclusion, including behaviour. Rowena also line manages a team of 29 teaching assistants, many of whom are now trained in specialist areas.
Rowena has worked in schools, children’s homes and as a specialist teacher, in various roles. She has experience of working in schools in Kent, London and abroad.
She has a passion for inclusion and completed her Masters Degree in Inclusion in Kent as the first cohort of SENCos to look at, and then teach, the National Award.
She has been a teacher and tutor for SENCos completing their NASCO, which gave her a new insight into the variety of ways schools approach inclusion.
